Lakeland Red has a deep copper, shifting to ruby colouring. Immediately more malty and rich on the nose, hints of creme brulee and subtle stewed fruit notes. Malty, but not over sweet, balanced with veins of anise,cassis and toasted biscuit. Long, and built on the roasted malt flavours which bring a mix of liqurice, allspice and warm cereals....giving a great, rich mouth feel.
